Bronx Medical School Receives $1 Billion Donation From Dr. Ruth Gottesman making free tuition available to all students going forward.

  Dr. Ruth Gottesman All medical students at the Montefiore Albert Einstein institution of Medicine will be able to receive free tuition thanks to a $1 billion donation, the institution said on Monday. This donation is the biggest ever given to an American medical school. Dr. Ruth Gottesman, the head of the Einstein Board of Trustees, delivered the statement. "This donation radically revolutionizes our ability to continue attracting students who are committed to our mission, not just those who can afford it," Dr. Yaron Tomer, the Stanley and Marilyn Katz Dean at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, stated in a press release. "Additionally, it will free up and lift our students, enabling them to pursue projects and ideas that might otherwise be prohibitive." The historic news also permits existing fourth-year students to obtain a reimbursement for their tuition for the spring 2024 semester. President Vladimir Putin says Russia is close to creating cancer vaccines.

  Russian President Vladimir Putin Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Wednesday, said that his country is quite close to creating a cancer vaccine, and it could be available to patients soon. Speaking at a forum on future technologies in Moscow, he said, "... We have come very close to the creation of so-called cancer vaccines and immunomodulatory drugs of a new generation. I hope that soon they will be effectively used as methods of individual therapy." He did not elaborate on the details of the vaccine. Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide and is caused by the abnormal growth of cells in the body, which spread to other parts.

Following the re-organisation of the Government, President Akufo-Addo has submitted to Parliament,  for prior approval, through the Speaker, Rt. Hon.   Civil Society Organization representative for Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), Richard Kojo Elimah has underscored that there are unseen forces which are not allowing Africans to manage their own affairs. According to Kojo Elimah, leaders in Africa are not managing their countries because some advanced countries are manipulating them with their interests. Appearing on Ama Ghana Morning Show on Time FM, he reiterated that the black man is capable of managing his own affairs like the whites are doing.

CÔTE D’IVOIRE CROWNED AFCON CHAMPIONS AFTER WIN OVER NIGERIA

  Hosts Côte d’Ivoire were crowned champions of the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in their history after defeating Nigeria 2-1 in the final on Sunday. The Elephants came from behind to claim the title. Nigeria skipper, William Ekong, gave the Super Eagles the lead with a well-executed header seven minutes before halftime. However, Franck Kessie equalized for Côte d’Ivoire just two minutes after the hour-mark. Striker Sebastien Haller then scored the winner with ten minutes remaining, completing the Ivorian victory. Côte d’Ivoire faced the possibility of an early exit from the competition during the group stage, but they secured their place in the second round in the final moments, fulfilling their mission and clinching the title on home soil.
