Messi undergo medicals

Deal set to be completed between clubs - Messi agents  are still checking final details, then it’ll be done.

Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players in the history of football if not the very best. And there is a good possibility that he is indeed the very best.

And even at 33 years of age, he is showing no signs of slowing down. , the Argentine legend has scored 38 goals and provided 14 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions this season.

His contract with FC Barcelona runs out at the end of this season though. And with the La Liga giants in the middle of a transitional period, it is very possible that Messi could look towards a move away in the summer.

Of course, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as the favorites if such a move was to take place.

Could Manchester United pull off a move for Messi?

There is not much left to say about Messi that has not been said already. He is an absolute genius. But it is not just about what he brings on the pitch though.

Messi is also one of the most popular athletes on the planet. Thus, signing him would make a lot of sense both on-and-off the pitch. Especially considering the fact that he could be available on a free transfer with his contract set to run out in the summer. Could Manchester United pull off a move for him though?

If Messi is to leave FC Barcelona, where he has spent his entire career, he would surely be looking to join a club where he would get the best chance of competing for the Champions League on a consistent basis. Can the Red Devils provide him that opportunity at this point of time? That is perhaps the biggest question when it comes to a move.
