By my faith as an Assemblies of God member, I am against LGBTQ – John Mahama

Former president John Mahama, a member of the Assemblies of God, recently expressed his opposition, stating,

"As a person of faith, I am against LGBTQ rights." This reflects a broader perspective within religious communities, emphasizing the intricate intersection of religion and politics.

It sparks discussions on the separation of church and state and highlights the diversity of opinions within religious groups.

The LGBTQ rights movement advocates for equal treatment and protection of human rights, challenging societal norms and emphasizing the global challenge of balancing religious freedom with the pursuit of equality.

Constructive dialogue between differing perspectives is crucial to fostering understanding and respect, encouraging initiatives that promote empathy and awareness.

Mahama's explicit statement against LGBTQ rights serves as a reminder of the ongoing need for open conversations to address the complexities of LGBTQ issues and work towards a more inclusive society
